The flat is on a community orientated street with lots of activities to get involved with, if desired. There’s a community garden/playground opposite and a TRA house (The Tenants, Residents Association) which puts on monthly movie nights and hosts yoga classes, a grub club and a book club (amongst other things). The flat is a 10-15 minute walk from Oval and Kennington Stations. Lots of buses to central London stop around the corner on Camberwell New Road and Camberwell Road. Waterloo is a roughly 15 minutes journey (it's also easy to get to Vauxhall, Victoria, Elephant & Castle etc). We often walk to Southbank and can make it to the river in 20 to 25 minutes.
There are great shops and cafes along the Walworth road which is moments away. Burgess Park has recently received millions of pounds investment and has excellent tennis courts, cycle trails, playgrounds and a nice pond to walk around.
