Georgian 3-bedroom terraced house in desirable residential street. Newly decorated, fully fitted kitchen with dining room and lounge, garden, lots of period features.
Description
Large 3 bedroom Georgian terrace house in quiet residential street in Bow, available from 1st July. The house has recently been re-decorated inside and out, has a small garden and is within very easy reach of Mile End tube, local buses and Victoria Park. The house has gas central heating and a high-pressure hot water system (so the shower works well!) It is equipped with a washing machine, dishwasher and tumble drier. Unusually, the house is also provided with electrical equipment (TV/Satellite Box) and has the facilities for full broadband and telephone services.
The front door leads into the hallway (6.57m x 1.45m), with original stripped pine floors and period features (cornices, ceiling rose, cast iron radiator). From here, doors lead into the lounge and dining room.
The lounge (4.1m x 3.55m) also has stripped pine floors and a Georgian fireplace with mantelpiece. It has a south-facing bow window to the front with the original shutters and locking bar. The high ceilings, cornices and ceiling rose are original and it has a cast iron radiator. The lounge is separated from the dining room with original shutters, but these can be opened to make one large room.
The dining room (3.5m x 2.95m) is to the rear of the house with a large sash window, more pine floorboards and another fireplace, mantelpiece and radiator and has original cornice and ceiling rose. It has built in bookcases and storage and looks out onto the garden.
The kitchen is at the back of the house and is fully-fitted, with an adjoining dining area. The work surfaces are marble and the cooker is range-style with gas hobs and two fan ovens, and has an extractor fan overhead. The sink has a mixer tap and a separate shower head for rinsing plates. There is a stainless steel dishwasher and washing machine and plenty of storage cupboards. Because the kitchen has windows to two aspects it is a sunny space with plenty of natural light.
From the kitchen a door leads into the garden, which is laid with Cotswold flagstones and has a barbecue and a small paddling pool. This faces west and enjoys evening sun, particularly during the summer months.
The carpeted stairs lead up to the first floor landing, which is also carpeted, and has doors to all three bedrooms.
The main bedroom (4.6m x 3.4m) is a very good sized double room at the front of the house, facing south, with three large sash windows along its length giving a good view across the street. Again this has stripped pine floors, another fireplace and mantelpiece, with cornice and ceiling rose.
The second bedroom (3.4m x 2.94m) is a large carpeted double bedroom, with a traditional fireplace and chimney breast. It has a sash window overlooking the garden and a cast iron radiator.
The third bedroom (2.0m x 2.8m) is a carpeted double bedroom at the back of the house with built-in storage and original sash windows and radiator.
The bathroom has a freestanding traditional cast-iron bath, a pedestal basin and WC. There is a shower cubicle with thermostatic mixer tap and a combined radiator and heated towel rail. It is painted white, with blue tilework above the bath and in the shower cubicle.
There is also a basement (accessible from the hallway) with a tumble drier and very plentiful storage space.
The house is largely unfurnished but includes electrical equipment and white goods.
The house stands about 5 minutes walk from Victoria Park and the Roman Road and a similar distance from Regents Canal. There are bus stops at the end of the road (routes 277, 339, 425 and D6) and on Roman Road (routes 8, N8). Mile End tube station (Central and District lines) is around 8 minutes walk away, and both The City and Docklands can be reached within 20 minutes. The Olympic Village and Westfield are a similar distance in the other direction and, should you have a car, the M11 and the Blackwall Tunnel are easily reached (the house has on-street parking). There are plenty of pubs and coffee shops available locally.
We are looking for the right tenants for this house who will take care of it and fit well with the local neighbourhood. It would ideally suit a family or professional sharers, and is immediately available on a long term tenancy agreement.
