Our home is in a quiet close, no through traffic. A short walk to a large park, wonderful for kids, and lovely countryside beyond. A well-stocked small supermarket and post office at the end of the close. Free on-street parking. Frequent buses into town, or a 15 minute cycle ride (use of bikes negotiable).
It is particularly suited for a family with young children: toys, scooters/bikes, sandpit and trampoline are available for use.
Ground floor: spacious kitchen with all amenities (incl. bread maker), dining table and kid's play/work table. Living room with piano, wood burner (wood provided) and stereo-hifi. Conservatory giving access to rear garden, with day bed, dining table and play area/toys.
First floor: double bedroom with double bed, double bedroom with single bed that pulls out into double (both rooms currently our children's). Office with desk and single bed-chair, printer. Family bathroom.
Second floor (converted loft with large dormer): spacious and light large bedroom with double bed and en-suite bathroom.
Gas central heating and solar hot water. Current gas and electricity provided 100 percent renewable. Our fantastic cleaner comes every other week and is included in the rental price.
Our children go to the local Cutteslowe Primary School, which is now very good (though in less good shape a few years ago) and friendly, with many kids in the neighborhood going there. The house is also in the catchment area of the excellent Cherwell Secondary School in Summertown.
Summertown with its great collection of shops, bars and restaurants is a few bus stops away or a 5 minute cycle ride.
We will be away for a year from end of April 2014 and are ideally looking for a family to rent our house for the full year, but are happy to consider shorter lets too.
