Nestling in the beautiful Forest of Bliss a haven for anyone wishing to escape to the peace and tranquility of the natural countryside.
The cottage was once a forestry residence and therefore has the forest as part of its wonderful garden.
Lake Vyrnwy is 10 mins away, the busy town of Llanfylyn is 15 mins and Welshpool and Oswestry approx 30 mins away.
The cottage is a perfect picture postcard home and is a good size with a lounge facing onto to the open farmers fields.
The newly built front patio is the perfect place for sitting out side for breakfast as the sun rises there and makes it a lovely sun trap until about 3 pm most days.
We have installed a wonderful effective log burning fire for cosy winter evenings, and had the chimney cleaned/restored.
There is a really useful space in the original larder which we use to store essential oils and make our perfumes, it has a Belfast sink and shelving space. Also a good place for storing veg, coats, boots etc.
From the lounge you enter the dining room which has brand new patio doors onto the small courtyard at the back. This is where we store the wood and use it as a summer extension of the dining room. This area is under cover as it is under the newly built wonderful wooden balcony where we have the smaller hot tub. You can spend incredible nights watching the stars from the hot tub.
From the dining room we, have a galley kitchen that is well designed and light and airy, with a grey slate floor. It has a large range oven , washing machine, dishwater and Belfast sink.
Both lounge and dining room has the original wall cupboards for storage space.The floor is the original red tiles, that have been painted and polished which we put traditional rugs on to.
Upstairs are 2 good sized bedrooms, one that has brand new patio doors leading onto a wonderful wooden balcony where we have a hot tub and spend evenings watching the stars.
The other bedroom is easily big enough for 4 single beds, If we stayed we would add a bath at one end of this bedroom as its so big.
The walk in shower room compact , modern and brand new.

Outside we have a large and beautifully kept garden which has been completely redesigned over the past 2 years.
There are separate sitting and relaxing areas in this magical garden, which has been designed for nooks and cranny's to provide private spaces for reading and relaxing. Areas have been created for outdoor dining or small secluded spots for being alone.
The Mandala Hut which sits at the top of the garden onto the edge of the forest over looks the large pond and wonderful for evening drinks and parties.
The Mandala Hut has been used for meditation, massage and healing workshops and seats about 15 people, we have had family over Christmas and had Christmas dinner and entertained guests. The Mandala Hut has a brand new highly efficient log burning fire that heats the hut perfectly.
Other buildings in the gardens include a lovely Victorian style potting shed , and a purpose built garden shed with 2 entrances, for separate storage.
Closer to the cottage we have an original Hot Tub made from wood. The water is heated by an original log burning stove connected to the Hot Tub.
The out house building is something that we have considered renovating to create an extra space for guests, and an outside toilet with a shower.This could easily be done. At the moment it is storing the dryer and large freezer.
The garden has a vast range of mature plants, flowers and of course backs onto the forest, where it is open and free to wander amongst the mature trees.
There are only 3 cottages in this beautiful hamlet, surrounded by woodland, fields and countryside.

We are very sorry to leave, but we are retiring soon and going to live in France.
