Estate Agent Fees

Estate Agent Fees – High Street Agents

Most high street estate agents charge anything from 1% to 2%.  An average fee is 1.5%.  These fees are plus VAT.  The average house price in the UK is some £200,000 – so it’s not hard to see that it can be very costly to sell your house through a high street agent – in fact it would cost £3,600 on averages!

Estate Agents Fees – Most online estate agents

Visum are not the only online estate agent, there are a few others out there, but they all price themselves very similar, either a large up front fee of around £300+VAT or a combination of a smaller upfront fee and an element of commission payable on sale of around 0.5%+VAT – both options require you to either find a good sized sum of money up front or still pay commission on sales.
