The Area

Bournemouth has on its doorstep a wonderful seven mile stretch of sands that runs right along its famous Blue Flag Award winning coastline. To the east beyond Bournemouth town centre lays the beautiful cathedral town and nature reserve at Christchurch and Hengistbury Head, and to the west you will find Europe’s largest natural harbour and nature reserve - Poole Harbour.

This whole area of the coastline has numerous lovely walks, extensive golden sandy beaches, and public parks full of leafy trees and shaded secluded spots ideal for enjoyment, relaxation and reflection. The town also has of course its famous Bournemouth International Centre, several other theatres, a Symphony Orchestra, museums, art galleries and numerous restaurants and clubs. Location

From the A31, Ringwood, the M3 Motorway and beyond:

• Travel West down the Wessex Way (A338) from Ringwood until you come to the very first major roundabout, which is signposted left to Bournemouth Railway Station.

• Turn left off this roundabout, going down St Paul’s Road, and drive up to the next roundabout in the middle lane.

• Go straight over on at this roundabout and on down St Swithuns Road until the next roundabout comes up.

• Turn left at this roundabout into Christchurch Road, and “Hartford Court” will be found about 100 yards down on the left hand side at No 48.

From Bournemouth Town Centre:

• From Bournemouth Pier and Bath Road, with the sea at your back travel East up Bath Road with the IMAX Cinema on your right.

• At the roundabout go straight on up Bath Road until you come to the next roundabout.

• Take the 4th exit into Christchurch Road, and travel down this road to the next major roundabout.
