SHERWOOD: Chain Free, this superb five bedroom detached house, has off-road car-parking, is in outstanding condition, and is situated on a very popular tree-lined street.

Description

SHERWOOD: It's not often that properties such as this come to market. Coming to market free of chain, this charming home was built in the 1920's and has bags of character and original features. Maintained meticulously, the house has only had two owners in all that time, and is ripe for a new family to call it their forever home. Set over two floors, with cellar and loft storage space the house has the high ceilings & generous room proportions. The property has four good sized bedrooms and one smaller bedroom that would make an excellent study or nursery. The house comes with original doors, fire surrounds, and cornicing and is decorated neutrally throughout.

WHY SHOULD YOU VIEW?

This house ticks a lot of boxes! Detached, Utility Room, New Roof, Off-Road Car Parking, Garage, Two Receptions, West Facing Garden, Modern Kitchen & Bathroom, the house has it all and more. The property is very well maintained, is 99% double glazed, and also has the benefit of a small PV solar array that produces an income of around £700 a year whilst reducing utility bills at the same time. For those unfamiliar with the area, Sherwood & Carrington is an increasingly popular area, with outstanding schooling, a choice of supermarkets, and a vibrant shopping parade. The housing stock is largely traditional and a mix of Victorian and Edwardian terraces and semi's. Within a short walk of the house you'll find a superb butchers on Hucknall Road, an artisan potter, and the oasis that is The Gladstone public house. Recent local additions to the area include the award winning Masala Junction, and The Cods Scallops restaurants, and the Nottingham Free School. We think this house is going to be popular, so encourage early viewing.

WHAT THE CURRENT OWNER SAYS....

I am only the second owner of the house and have lived here for 44 years and loved every minute! The garden is low-maintenance and very private and relaxing. We have a greenhouse to grow tomatoes in the summer. The doctors is nearby and city hospital is on the bus route only 10 minutes away. The house has a lot of pluses, a spacious hall, a porch for shoes, off-road parking, a garage with inspection pit for enthusiasts, and two large reception rooms. For children there are good schools and the pirate park is just round the corner. I have had solar power installed which provides a useful income tax free. I shall be very sorry to leave my neighbours who have become good friends. I hope the new owners enjoy the property for as long as I have - I know they will be very happy here.
