Gwalia Falls Retreat is a small and exclusive Lodge/holiday park (non-residential) on the cliff-top overlooking the beautiful beach in the idyllic seaside village of Tresaith, 10 miles north of Cardigan on the West Wales coastline.

The Pemberton Rivendale Lodge is a luxurious two bedroom Lodge located on Plot 30 at Gwalia Falls Retreat with a sea view from this 2nd tier unit. It represents a new standard in Lodge design. The asymmetric layout gives the exterior a distinctive appearance which, in turn, gives the interior a discernible functionality.

Gwalia Falls Retreat is a holiday lodge park, which means that the lodges are for non-residential use (so lodge owners must have another permanent address), and the Park shuts completely between January 9th and reopens on the 1st of March every year.

Internal Space

Built new in 2017 this luxurious lodge measures 44 x 20 feet. The walls, floors and roof are insulated to residential standards (BS 3632) and with uPVC double-glazed windows, gas-fired central heating and Canexel external cladding you'll never be cold, no matter what time of year you visit. All the windows have either blinds or curtains and all the living areas and bedrooms are carpeted. The kitchen and bathrooms have vinyl flooring.

The living area is wide and open with floor to ceiling windows and optimised ceiling heights that allow light to pour in and give the whole home an essence of space. The living area contains two large sofas and a coffee table. The furniture is solid oak which is in-keeping with the beams and the furnishings are an eclectic mix that extend through to the adjoining multi-purpose ‘Snug’ that can be used as an additional relaxing space away from the hubbub of the main lounge and kitchen/diner. There is ample comfortable seating and a storage Ottoman to enable you to watch the wall mounted flat screen TV, Freeview and DVD player provided to further assist with relaxing with friends or family members. The mist flame effect electric fire only adding to the ambience. Low energy lighting throughout accentuated by the rich tones of curtains and roman blinds and scatter cushions add to the luxurious feeling. Large sliding doors allow access from the lounge and ‘Snug’ areas to the front decking for al fresco dining and to view distant sea views towards Aberporth headland and the setting sun.

The dining area with its stunning glass topped dining table to seat 4 with high backed chairs is an integral part of the kitchen. There is a freestanding American style fridge freezer and a generous kitchen island. Those who love to entertain will be proud to do so in this home. The Shaker style kitchen units conceals the integrated dishwasher, microwave and wine chiller enhancing the feeling of light and space. There is 4 burner gas hob with a middle wok burner with an integrated electric oven underneath. There is externally vented curved glass extractor hood. The separate utility room with washer/dryer and various storage cupboards keeps the kitchen area less cluttered. The kitchen area all open directly onto the outside decking area via sliding patio doors.

This spacious elegantly furnished main bedroom provides a real sense of theatre with the inclusion of a lavishly finished dressing table. It is stylish and opulent with full length curtains comprising a king size bed with a deep buttoned headboard with two large built in wardrobes. It also features a section of closet space on either wall between the main bedroom and the en-suite to provide extensive storage. The en-suite has a well-proportioned shower and is tastefully furnished in dark wood with a co-ordinating roman blind. It has a large heated towel rail. There is direct access to a small decked area outside via sliding doors.

The second bedroom has twin beds and has been given the same stylish furnishing treatment as the master bedroom with an elegant pendant light above the bed and sumptuous cushions and throws. There are voiles to all bedroom windows.

The family bathroom is situated between the two bedrooms with a large bath with over bath shower and screen. Mirrors over basin.

External Space

Gwalia Falls Retreat is accessed from the road that leads down to the beach at Tresaith. Owners have swipe cards to open the security barrier and the road then sweeps down through the superbly maintained site to the lodges.

The lodge has a dedicated parking space a few meters away from the Lodge and is surrounded by landscaped areas containing lush, architectural plantings with night-time courtesy lighting. At the side of the lodge is a wooden external storage unit reserved for the owners and in which they can store beach gear etc.

A timber decked area surrounds the lodge on two sides. The decking has a handrail all the way around a glass-walled balustrade at the front to maximise the views and provide some wind protection on breezy days.

The terrace is a stunning addition to the Rivendale Lodge and provides a wonderful space where you can relax, eat, play, read, sunbathe and take in the views.

Lodge owners are allowed to bring well-behaved dogs with them.

The Lodge has the benefit of a 35 year licence. Park management fees £4800 + VAT per annum. Electric and gas by meter.
