The Neighbourhood

We sit at the base of the Ashford Hangers National Nature Reserve, part of the South Down National Park. There are stunning walks through ancient forest, clear water streams and deep escarpments. In addition, this fantastic bicycling country - both on road and off-road. The South Downs sit 8 miles away with spectacular views, as well Hayling and other ocean islands including the Isle of Wight. The historic market town of Petersfield is 1.5 miles away (5 minutes by car) with plenty of stores and restaurants. Meanwhile, for a night out, London is one hour direct up the track - get on the train and off at Waterloo Station on the South Bank.

Getting Around

We are located in Steep, 1.5 miles from the center of Petersfield, a nice walk down a wooded path or a zoom down the hill on a bike. We also have a private drive. 4 mins to train station.

Other Things to Note

This studio is exceptionally positioned from stunning walks outside the door - the poet Edward Thomas country - right off the Hangers Way which joins the South Downs. Down the road is the historic Harrow Pub and at the other end The Cricketers Inn. We are also positioned 200 yards from the stunning Bedales School campus which offers regular Drama, Music, Art, and Speakers events.
