3 Bedroom Semi-Detached House (Now Sold)
Whitehill Close, Crowborough, East Sussex
This charming three bedroom house is full of character and endless opportunities to put your own stamp on it. The property benefits from new Upvc throughout with recently fitted windows and doors to the rear of the property (fitted 2013), and to the front (fitted 2005)
Entering through the front door the entrance has newly laid carpet throughout the hall, stairs and landing. There is also an under stairs storage cupboard and radiator within the spacious entrance hall.
The house boasts two reception rooms with the dining room to the front. It has a large bay window and feature fire place.
The bright yet cosy lounge overlooks the garden, which is ideal for keeping an eye on the little ones or pets. The recently fitted sliding patio doors in the lounge are fantastic for flooding the room with light and makes for an excellent entertaining space come summer time. The recesses have been beautifully built into offering attractive storage.
The fitted kitchen is bright and airy with base and eye level units (to ceiling), incorporated oven and cooker top with plumbing for a washing machine and space for a fridge and freezer. The walls are part tiled and the flooring is tile effect vinyl. The kitchen overlooks the garden with a newly fitted Upvc door for side access.
Upstairs to the back, there is a single sized bedroom/study and the master double bedroom overlooking the garden which also benefits from fitted wardrobes. To the front is a second double sized bedroom and a family bathroom that is attractively tiled floor to ceiling with linoleum flooring and a heated towel rail.
NOTE: The second double bedroom to the front is currently being used as a studio, so there is a computer created 3D image to illustrate this room. The image is to scale and gives you an idea of space and feel, but viewing is highly recommended.
The secluded garden is of a good size and gets plenty of light for much of the day. Approximately ¾ of the garden is laid to lawn with stepping stones from the lounge patio doors. Beyond the fir tree and flower bedding there is a large paved area, and to the left is a very large shed located behind the garage offering for even more storage.
The garage/workshop is ideal for DIY projects and storage however can't be used to store a car due to narrow access. It has windows to the side and double doors to the front.
There is tremendous potential within this house to modernize throughout as well as enlarge upwards and outwards to accommodate a growing family.
The house is conveniently located for access to local schools, Crowborough town, open fields and country side. The mainline station is 1 mile away. Bus routes from here run frequently to Tunbridge Wells and Brighton.
NOTE: The property is obviously not in perfect condition and this is reflected in the asking price. Please be aware that from a structural perspective the property is sound, however there are some superficial crack in the brickwork here and there as well as re-pointing working being needed in the near future.

What the Owner Says...
We have lived here for 10 years and have loved every moment spent here. As a family we have enjoyed many a bbq in the garden and it has been a wonderful location to see the children (and grandchildren!) play and grow. This is a friendly neighbourhood, the location is brilliant and there is a local shop just around the corner for the morning paper and a pint of milk. Now my youngest is leaving home, it is time for me to downsize and I'll leave with the fondest of memories of this house.
