It is also perhaps 10 minutes walk back along the flat promenade walkway into the town centre, with its main Pier, the Pavilion and Central Gardens.

Bournemouth has of course its famous Bournemouth International Centre, several other theatres, a Symphony Orchestra, museums, art galleries and numerous restaurants and clubs. The whole area is well established as a financial services centre, as well as being one of Britain’s most popular retirement areas.

This whole area of the south’s coastline has numerous lovely walks, extensive golden sandy beaches, and public parks full of leafy trees and shaded secluded spots ideal for enjoyment, relaxation and reflection.

From the A31, Ringwood, the M3 Motorway and beyond

 Travel west down the Wessex Way (A338) past the Richmond Hill or Standard Life Building Roundabout at the top of Bournemouth town centre:

 Continue travelling westwards through the next roundabout and carry straight on, still signposted to Poole and beyond, until you reach the end of the Wessex Way at a main set of traffic lights. At this roundabout take the 2nd left down The Avenue Road on the B3065.

 Continue to travel south along the B3065, past the traffic light junction of Western Road, and then take the next junction left into Tower Road. This leads to Mountbatten Road, which feeds to the right into Alumhurst Road.

 Drive south down this road until it hits the sea front, and then follow it round until you find Studland Road on your left. “Studland Dene” is right on the corner of Studland Road and Alumhurst Road.
